My window seals leaked and now my AC and heat are both on at the same time. I found this out when the fan cut off. I replaced the fuse and now the heat is blowing at the same time the cold air is blowing. the vent on the right is cold but the main vent is blowing hot. I think the heater core may be stuck on because when I press the AC button the car engine pulls a little harder indicating the compressor came on.

Reason: forgot something
i can see the display although it is kinda faint. it says 60. you can feel the ice cold air on the right side. I have a feeling it was all the water in my floorboard from the leaky seal. The curcuit might be stuck open.

If so, maybe there is water in a vacuum line preventing the flap from getting the vacuum to move......I dunno.
On the C5 it's electric stepper motor that moves the internal damper door line-up thereby changing from heat to cold (or blend) for temperature control. Not vacuum.
Vacuum is used for mode select plus there's no heater control valve to shut off hot water to the heater core.
The OP's problem is not uncommon of CJ2 (auto) HVAC systems in C5s. There are two actuators (right/left) than be out of sync with each other or if one has failed possibly. Sometimes a "re-sync" is all that's necessary.

Lots of posts on this topic.
How do you re-sync the actuators. ( thanks for your help too, I 'm a soldier not much of a mechanic.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
