Default Sill Plates

Thinking about dressing my Vette up a bit and was wondering how some of you felt about changing sill plates. I have an '01-C5 and it now has rubberized sill plates on it with the embossed logo. I see in the various vendor's catalogs that they offer a decal to cover the embossed logo. Do most owners that have sill plates change the plate to a more professional plate like buying chrome polished plates or is it OK to just put the decal over the embossed logo on the existing plate?
Thanks for your suggestions.

I'd say its a question of taste. I just added raised decals and I'm happy with the look

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. I thought that I'd buy the decals and put them on and if I don't like them, then I would go ahead and get the sill plates and install them. Just not a big fan of 'sticking' things on.

I put the decals on and added sill protectors, but that is just my taste.

I went with the 3D raised that I bought from the NCM.
Unless I misunderstood your last sentence, you're asking if it's OK to put these on YOUR Vette. It's YOUR Vette, put on whatever YOU think looks best.

All I added to mine were the logo decals and they look very nice. Just depends on the look you want to go for as to which mod to do.

I too went with the cyberdine raised emblem. But I used a 3M product called 'Adhesive Promoter' and even today three years after instaling them, it's like their welded on. People ask me all the time, "Did it come from the factory that way ?"

I can't upload the pictures right now, don't know why, I was able to post pisc's only last week ?

The decal is plenty IMO. Some of the SS and chrome starts to get tacky.

Carbon fiber looks good as well.

What company is NCM? .
Do you happen to remember the number of the adhesion promoter? Amazon lists a couple of different numbers for this product.
I'm definitely going with the decals.

NCM = National Corvette Museum.
I used lacquer thinner to clean the area. Been on for over a year with no problems.

I've thought of making the sills in carbon like we do for the C6 if there is enough interest.These are the ones we make for the C6.
