Sorry Ed, ...
Every time I see your car it looks impeccable. I never see any dirt on your car.

if my car was that clean i would be afraid to drive it for fear of getting dirt on it and under it! Toque and Chrisj your cars are unreal!
well done sirs!
Now come on Chris, that's just not right. I don't think yours is a DD anymore either is it? Mine has a little over a 130,000 on it now, yours? As always, it's looking clean as usual, maybe I'll see you around Richey's. Good luck in future shows, L8R ZFLASH
I also just jack the car up and wash the barrels by turning the tires. Do it with each wash and they stay nice. Of course when changing from summer wheels to winter they get a full detail and a new coat of Rejex.
Thanks guys ! I don't take my wheels off very often, but I just jack up each corner and wipe off the barrels with Zaino quick detail. Its easy to reach in there with a 5 spoke design. I just spin them and wipe away ! I only remove them for a full polishing maybe once/twice a year.
I also do a full polish a couple times a summer. With fully polished barrels you have too! I also put a coat of rejex on the wheels a couple times a year to keep junk from sticking too bad to them. At least once a week I do the quick detail that Toque mentioned to get the brake dust and such off.
its not such a bad thing to obsess over doing a good detailed job on your car, IMHO it builds character, becuase that care and attention to detail useually carries over into other areas of life, like your work and family relationships :-)
I have'nt done the wheel wells yet but will today, I was also thinking of polishing the outer edge of the brake rotors, they get that corrosion on them there....

I stopped driving it daily a few years ago. But it was my only car for 8 years and 100,000 miles. It's got 113k on the clock now.

That's actually the downside of my custom repaint. I don't drive it near as much as I used to. Of course, I'm always busy at work so I really don't have as much time to drive it either.... But I am aware of what I put into it when I drive it.
By the way, this is clearly not an every day clean. This is prepping for a big indoor car show. Cleaned top to bottom! Happens 2-4 times a year. In fact, I do a big indoor show in Nov and another in early March. I have a real hard time driving the car in between because of how much work it takes to get it ready again!!!!!

I've had guys get in their car and move when I park next to them before. Others just moan and start griping at me....

In the summer months down in Texas I tend to let it go because at midnight in my garage and its still 95F.... its not so pleasant to do anything outside or garage.... I do my best work on my car in the spring, fall, and winter months.

Yeah it's way too hot to work on the car in the garage in the texas summer unless you have a garage with A/C. It just gets unbearable, even with a fan, etc, going.

That's the easiest diet there is, working on something you love in over a 100 degree heat . You'd really lose it fast that way , L8R ZFLASH
