Screw that. My time is way too valuable to spend it out in the sun doing something like that. handwashed every other week. detailed professionally once a quarter. that is it. id rather drive it than wash it.
I don't put very many miles on my Z but after a long drive, I pull the wheels off to clean them. I also remove the seats to vacuum. My wife thinks I'm nuts.

I posted this in another thread. I purchased the car back in July and finally got around to removing the wheels off my Z and getting them looking new again. They all had tons of water stains and buildup in a couple of places. After about 3 hours and a nice tan from the Texas sun i came out with this result.
The inner barrels on my CCW Classics are pitted and beyond cleaning and polishing repair. They were like that when I bought them used off another member. My solution is that this winter I'm going to paint the inner barrels and center/faces and just keep the lips mirror polished. IF everything turns out as planned they're definitely going to be different from what anyone else on here is running.
And here I thought most Corvette owners do this before they have kids or wait until they retire before spending that much time on their cars.
My 8 year-old daughter loves cleaning the wheels on the Vette. When I wash the car (waterless of course) she always claims the wheels as her job. It's awesome having a gear-head daughter.

You guys all have it easy. I end up parking next to him many times on our runs around D/FW. I look at his, then look at mine, and the first thing that comes to mind is "Damn, I need to clean that too?".......
