Has anyone ever seen a way to store targa top flat, instead of leaning against the back cardboard and useless locking things, I have googled this and cant seem to find anything.

if you mean storing in the car, the 2 rods on the one side of the top fit into the the 2 plastic cups on the floor. the other side goes up against the back and the 2 spring loaded clips fit into 2 slots on the top. this hold the top very well and it won't move once locked into place. the 2 little rubber tips will wear out over time but i found replacements, i think from a vendor on e-bay but i'm not sure.

Any particular reason you want to store it laying flat? The factory storage points ensure the top stays put and gets no damage from being in the back of the car. Just curious.
I was wanting to move the holders further toward the front of the car and make some holders to lay the top on, hence lying flat.Not leaning on the back anymore. May have to fab some new holders.

I am looking for those rubber tips. The Chevy dealer only sells them as part of the latch assembly (which itself is no longer available). Can you please try to remember where you found them? I will search e-bay, but I'm not great at that.
