I picked up the Clear Option at Carlisle this year and it works great - worth the $ and the plexiglass is much thicker than others making it very strong !!

I have had the clear option for a few years and love the fact that I can fold it up out of the way when not in use.

When I bought my Z last year up in Grant Falls, MT, and started my 1200 mile drive home, I quickly discovered the pathetic cup holder situation. I stopped in a Walmart in Helena, MT. Found a Cup Holder that held 2 LARGE cup wells and a center well for electronic devices like Mobile Phones. Cost, $6. I squeezed it in place for the drive home and it worked well.

Once I got home I trimmed some of the bottom plastic and drilled some holes, using some short SS Screws (6) it screws into the Carpet. Over a year later and it still works great. It's black so it matches the interior and is very solid. And no Corvette Tax....

Double Travel Buddy is amazingly clever design.

Very deep wells so no matter how hard you drive those two cups are going nowhere. That's the biggest issue for me. No spillage and no accidents, especially with a latte or a coke. You spill those in a Vette and get ready to spend some money and a lot of time recovering what you had pre-spill.

The console does not hold much and it looks like you could get 2.5 to 3 inch deep holders in the cover. Has anyone tried this ? I am not happy with any of the cup holders I have seen so far
I just posted a pic on the forum of my cup holder

Travel buddy in my car. Love it. Passengers hate it, but they are getting a ride in a Corvette, so tough for them.

Sorry for the confusion.
I ordered the "Clear Option" cup holder and it is a very nice unit. It was also shipped to me very fast

http://www.theclearoption.com/

The “Clear Option” to add another cup holder
to your C5 or C6 Corvette
®
Here is an option that….

• “installs in seconds” without the use of Velcro, screws or tape of any kind

• quickly folds out of the way when not in use

• “clearly matches” any interior color scheme

• quickly removes for easy cleaning (dishwasher safe) or storage

• does not take up any leg space
This is the “Clear Option” to add another cup holder to your C5 or C6 Corvette
®
. It nestles in the
corner formed by the seat and tunnel, so it does not take up any leg space…. ope

I have 2 of the smoked version from girl-ina-box. These are the best cup holders for use in the limited space of a C5. Anything sticking out of the console would be in the way of shifting for me. Plus I use my console for storage. Cutting up the console and sticking in some cup holders would not look good imo.
