I installed the isimple ipod set up in my 2000. I removed the changer and did a plug & play. It works but it will not let me go to a previous song (back) or fast forward etc. I can control the volumn & next song feature from the radio and thats it. I set the dip at 3 8 on. Any hints.
Thanks, Mike

I have a Kenwood system in mine..... Anyway there is only one large **** on the head unit I can push it right and left to be able to go forward looking for a song or backwards to look for a song
Mine is kind of tricky. It will not work smoothly just because it is a piggy back interface. I generally stick to not moving forward or back and just letting the songs ride.
Thanks Renxwar. Mine has no difficulty moving forward but not back. I just wanted to be sure there was nothing wrong with my installation or unit. When I first hooked it up I tried going back with the seek button or the back button but I would have to push it about 3-4 times to go back. Then the IPOD froze. I am fine with just controlling the volume & forward from the HU as long as I know it's working correctly. Thanks for your reply.
If I remember correctly, once the isimple is plugged in, some of the buttons on your radio take on new meanings. There should be an illustration in the directions. You might be able to find it online.
It was a simple plug an play. The Bose CD controls work just like they did when I had the CD unit.
The kit also comes with two other harness' that allow you to wire the system directly into the back of your Bose unit and/or the wires that are installed in some cars but do not go all the way to the rear. This is IF I remember correctly. I sold both harness' on the cheap to guys thatwanted them.

I have to disagree with you, iSimple is one of the best on the market, Maybe you didn't have the dip switches set right.
Mine worked great when I had it, I now have a DD Pioneer.
