Winter is almost upon us here and I was going to put my car away for the winter. I want to put it close to the wall and I was thinking of buying a set of car dollies from Northern tools made by Haul Master. I was wondering if they would do the trick or do you guys know of a better brand to buy. They advertise these as being rated at 1500 lb. capacity. I want some that will roll the car around fairly easy in case I have to move it around during the months ahead.
Last winter I was also looking at the 16x16 Auto Dolly dollies. I ended up getting the same exact thing from AutoAnything.com for much less. Right now they are 159.99 shipped from AutoAnything, where they cost 189.98 plus any tax from Northern Tool.
They work pretty good. I have my a epoxy coating on my garage floor with the flecks and the car is still pretty easy to move. I made sure to add wheel grease to the wheels before I put them together. I read that this will make them roll better and that seems correct.
