Ok so I checked in the shop and the one I have is from Mid America although the inside of it does not seem as soft as I would exspect. Certainly not as soft as say a micro fibe towel or flanel rag . Is it considered a good quality item . Seems well made .
??
The inside should feel like a soft felt. I can't comment on the MA bra because the only one's I've owned I purchased directly from Chevy dealers.
And when you consider; the mere presence of the bra is to protect the surface from cosmetic damage, while it's at the same time, causing the same thing.
I've been using GM bras for over 10 years and not once have I had any damage done to my cars as a result.
I recently purchased a GM bra and had the same issue with the clear plastic covers. My solution was to take it to a guy who does boat canvas and plastic windows and have him cut an opening in each side in front of my air intake openings then sew black plastic binding around them. It doesn't flap at all and looks like it came that way from the factory. Net cost was twenty bucks.

Not what I meant. The only damage I implied, was to the visual looks, and this was JMHO of all bras. The added work for us waxers is just another negative.
I like this bra, no velcro anywhere, and the snaps fit into existing screw holes.
Where there is no screw hole, there are bendable tabs that hold surprisingly well.
Takes less than one minute to install, and less than a minute to take off. I wash my
Vette at least once a week and take it off the car when I do. I take that time to
clean the fabric inside of the bra with my shop vac.
I commute 108 miles daily and wish I had put one on sooner to eliminate rock chips.
