Just recently bought my '04 z06, and plan to use it for track day events.
My thoughts were go with a squared set up, so i can rotate to get better tire life. I do this currently with my M6 on track days, and I got 31 sessions out of a set of R compounds before I corded one of them.
What size wheels work best for squared set ups? I was considering getting 2 more of the 18x10.5 rear zo6 wheels and use those on all 4 corners. Any issues doing this? I test fitted one of the rears on the front and it clears everything it appears. Should I stick with the stock 295 size squared or is there a size that works beteter? 305's, 315's, etc?
Thanks for any help, Keith

I run an 18X10.5 square set up and the 295s are about all I can do on the front if I want to clear (most the time) the aftermarket air ducts.
I think my wheels are 60mm offset.
What does a 'squared' set up mean. Is that just running all 4 wheels & tires the same size? Long time drag racer, never auto crossed before but I'd like to one day.
once a tire is set for a corner of the car, it best to leave it there.
For daily street driving..maybe, for track purposes the tires aren't on a corner longer enough for it to matter. I typically cross rotate my squared set-up after every two 30 minute sessions. I got 31 sessions out of a set of Nitto NT01's, and they wore very evenly.
Many C5 Z06 guys I run with in NASA SE run 18" square set up with 275s Hoosiers. I've tried 295s and they hit my cooling ducts in the front on tight turns. I just tried this set up early this summer and am getting faster times and longer tire life. The other reason we run the 275s is to keep lower points in our running class.
