Default Pcm questions

Im thinking about buying a 98ls1 engine with 47k miles for my 72 nova. The engine has all but no pcm.
Does anyone know how much a pcm cost? Would i need one for the same year or any c5 is fine? Can i use a used one?
Any advice please
Thanks john

You will need to have it tuned with EFILive or HP anyway so a used one is ok, but the pcms and wiring harnesess are different between the 97/98 and the 99+. be sure your harness and PCM match.

When I first looked at the title of this thread I could have sworn it said "**** questions."

You need to get your VIN and have the used PCM flashed to your options, otherwise, some things on your car may not work.
