Ok. I just ordered the Johnny O Stage 1 setup from Pfadt. (Through CCA on the forum).
I am CONSIDERING lowering my vette on stock bolts at the same time. I know, the ride gets harsher-I understand that. If I wanted something smoother I'd buy an Acura or Caddy.
Here is a question:
My Wheels:
19 x 9.5 ET 59 w/ 1.5" outer lip
19 x 11 ET 48 w/ 3" outer lip
My Tires:
Continental Sport Contact 2's
275/30-19 front and 295/30-19 rear.
If I just lower on stock bolts, any chance my tire could at some point hit the rear fenders? Or am I just being paranoid?
(If someone is bored and wants to photoshop my vette with a SLIGHT drop, feel free.-nothing more than on stock bolts though)
Do it, you won't hit the fenders, but you will love the massive improvement in how well your car handles. Lowering mine produced about the same amount of improvement in handling as installing C6 Z51 sway bars with metal end links did. I have to be careful where I drive, but I don't mind much.
From looking at the stance now I would say you should be fine.
It will only drop maybe 3/4 of an inch.

I dropped mine on the stock bolts and I have not had any issues with rubbing. I too also have a set of custom wheels, fronts are 18"x10"with 2" lip. Rears are 19"x11.5" with a 3" lip. So drop that rascal!!!

Ok, Ok. I'll lower when the new shocks and sways are installed. LOL
who can we trust to do a 4 corner alignment? And what is the cost?
I had mine done at a local Firestone; it cost me $69.99 for a one time alignment if I'm remembering right. I know that I've never paid more than $89.99 at any shop.
