[Z06] Rare one?

Rare one?
Yep! Just may be!! Learned my Millennium Yellow Z06 was the 58th Corvette to roll off the line on 9/11...........Any other MY Z's with Modified Red interior out there born on that tragic day?
I know for certain,driving to Kentucky to pick her up on 9/15 was a very sullen time for us,as well for the world......But knowing she was born on the day so many lives needlessly passed on,will remain very special to me...and will indeed be a keeper!!

Mine was built 9/21 but when i jack up the rear, you can see inside the bummper a sticker with a date the rear was made(i guess) and it was 9/11...i wonder how many more parts for my car where completed that tragic day.

they kept the factory open? :confused:
They cancelled all public tours of the factory though afterwards for a few weeks....Back on regular schedule now!

Mine was built 9/7 (Fri) and arrived at the dealer Monday morning 9/10. The dealer called me immediately and I made plans to drive up to get it the following day (S. Indiana to Joliet IL). Tuesday morning I was totally adrenalized, with nothing on my mind but the car I'd been waiting for since May. Then we heard the news. That entire day is a blur of sad and depressing news reports interspersed with excitement and joy .. a very strange and unforgetable day.

Jerry.........I can remember when you were about to pick your baby up!! There were a group of us waiting intently for our babies to be born....then the unthinkable happened!
