Pretty cheap mod for those guys.
I like them better on the VW's than the C5's.

Probably the much lower profile tires and tuck. However, the stretch in the back is in my opinion.

It think what they were getting at was, they're sorta like wheels on a farm wagon or back in the old west. Nobody really cared what they looked like. So GM assumed that approach.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

The chrome is certainly nicer than the powder coat, but I'd be removing either one. I've got a set that needs to go on craigslist soon.

I've seen them more extreme than that:

That's gotta be hell on tire wear.

The kids call it "hellaflush." I think they've got the first four letters right.

Well, hellaflush is just pushed out and running the worst offset they can find.

Stretched tires usually go hand in hand, but not always.

Check out the bling here:

Nope, no C5 came from the factory with chrome wheels. I cite the "Corvette Black Book" for proof!

Some Dealers did put privately chromed wheels on their new cars (and charged extra for them), this is why some people swear that they bought their corvette with chromed wheels new from the factory.

I've said it many times, I can't understand what the GM designers were thinking when they came up with those wagon wheels on the newly designed c5! Must have had a very bad day when it came to the wheels.

Yes, but isn't that politically incorrect? Or, is it profiling?

Some of the ugliest stock wheels ever produced..Makes the C5 look dated..Put on Y2K thin spokes and it looks 100% more modern..They say a nice pair of shoes can do that..
