Oh I see what you're saying. The close up was taken during the process of taking off the emblem. I rubbed all the glue off and clay barred and buffed the paint after that pic was taken.

I actually like the emblems. On mine I removed the ovals to modernize and make them easier to clean. It's the corvette lettering I hate. Makes the cars look dated. I have the front solved with the screen mod but the back would like to get the letters filled and move the flags to that location.

The Corvette crossed flags are one of the most iconic emblems of the American automotive industry. Not sure why anyone would not want them on their car. I've actually added four more on mine: one on the steering wheel & one on each door sill, and the exhaust plate. Love 'em.

I'm also in Lancaster, although if the amish kids are on rumspringa they might have a Camaro or Trans AM parked near by I've heard stories about that. But they definitely know when they see a cool car as you see them watch as the vette drives by.

It's amazing how much different the C5 looks without the emblem on the front. I think it looks weird without but that's my personal opinion

I have debadged every car I have owned with the exception of my Z. I just don't feel the need to this time.

Are you having the CORVETTE on the rear fascia filled in ? If not, why not? If you want it debadged, isn't that part of it? Seems the clean look is for some, but the partially clean look is somewhat questionable, at least to me.
Bottom line is that its your car to do with what you want. If I was debadging my car, which I would never do, I would also remove the CORVETTE off the rear fascia to keep the debadged symmetry.

Just my opinion, and not meant to be a cheap shot.

Filling in the rear CORVETTE letters and using the flags in that area is something I want to do to modernize the rear

Not as of right now , I haven't decided on what my plans are for the bumper yet..keep stock and mold a spoiler in or go with aftermarket.

Again , I am qualifying my comments as a design engineer. I look at a debadged car, and what I see, is not an evolution, but an incomplete car, that looks like it was just repainted after an accident and just waiting on the badges, which were back ordered so it could be completed. I can't see it as a plus, from any angle. The only thing I see from a motivational point of view is that its different. In my opinion, different is not always a good thing. Again, if you see something positive, that is all that counts.

Debadging vehicles is a great way to clean them up. It is a tactic that has been done for many years. Definitely smooths out the lines of the car. That is why you see so many custom cars lacking emblems.

Nothing "incomplete" about an emblem-free car...

I get where Evil-Twin is coming from, i pulled badges off my suv it seamed like every panel had something on it and more then one on some (grill, doors, rear & back side panel ) it did give it a cleaner look but i took off 7 or 8 only left a few

my zo6 only has 4 and on a corvette since there is no chrome trim or any thing I think it looks better with the couple it has (that final touch)

honestly since you have the black wheels black emblems i think would pull it all together, but that me and its your car so if your happy thats what counts. I'm not saying your car looks bad infect it looks good i just prefer the emblems on the c5's

I'm going to change up my front emblem, not debadging it and not changing emblems but modifying what's already there... I think it's going to look good but it might offend some of the politically correct that frequent this section
