I've exceeded 100 mph, but not by much & not very often. What's more fun for me is the more frequently experienced rapid acceleration to interstate speed from the on ramp or the occasional burst of speed to pass someone on a two-lane road. It always makes me smile!
On the way home from the dealer the thruway was wide open with not a single other car in sight and my now girlfriend (then not) said "you have to hit a hundred at least once."
I only managed 110 before I decided I would like to keep my license long enough to drive it a second time. Really makes you appreciate the machine though; I was pretty light on the accelerator in sixth and I could tell she definitely wanted to go faster.
Half an hour after I dropped my ladyfriend off I ran her up to 120 (it happens too quick in even bone stock cars) I had put about a hundred miles on the car at highway speeds by then.
I just wanted to let her stretch out a little and over shot the mark watching the road ahead and not the HUD. It took a couple of months to work up to the 150 mark and I'd like to see the 160-165 but that's going to take a new set of tires.
IBTL as well!
I can neither confirm nor deny that I might have gone into triple digits about a month after delivery.
Certainly not a habit...I have a few stories of foolishness from my 20s that didn't end well for the cars I was driving. Also have a few of the same stories where I had my fun and got away with it.
Maybe some day I will get out to Bonneville and experience the true capabilities of my car...
