I like both...and if I could have gotten a C6Z with low miles like my C5Z for the same price, I'd go C6. Duh. Love my C5Z though. Can't beat the price/performance for the money. Personally I like the lines, the interior and the look of the C6Z quite a bit better.
Overall, the C5 is a smoother, more coordinated design. It flows well from nose to tail without looking disjointed or contrived.
I like the tail 4-6" of the C6 better than the C5, as well as the first few inches of the front, especially the intake area. I think that's what makes the Tigershark grill so popular on C5s.
I felt that way about the front end. After having both stacked in my garage, and spending many hours admiring both, I no longer feel that way. If you look at the intake area of the C6 long enough it starts to look a little odd. I know that's just my opinion but I like the C5 better. And I still don't like the look of the C6 headlights. I do like the function of them better though. That is the big difference between the two cars. The function is better on the C6 but the C5 looks better and is more fun to drive. It is just more edgy and a sports car should be. The C6 is just too soft and comfy.
if i could get a C6 with a C5 interior id go with a C6. dont get me wrong i love my C5 but, theres just something about the C6 body that gets me. However the interior is to small and just bland design wise on the C6.

They both look great to me and even though I have a C5, I'd take a C6 in my garage too, especially a C6 Z06. As for the windshield decal, it looks OK, and I can't really say much as my car has a decal on the windshield (came with the Milestone Editions package). Like you said, keep it on there for a while and see if you like it. If not, easy enough to peel off. Nice looking ride you have.
I love my C5. And plan to put many many miles on it the next few years. But I understand why C6 owners love their cars, as well. There could easily be a C6 Grand Sport in my future, a few years from now.
There are some things on the c5 that are retro, inside and out. Inside the hand grab, the waterfall. the outside the gas door placement. Just too name a few. all were brought back for the c5. All that being said can't run with a c6
Never liked the front end on the C6. The grille opening is too big and it makes the front look to heavy. And never liked the headlights , also too big. The back end is ok. But I liked everything about the C5 so I bought it instead. I think as the two cars get older the C6 is going to be like the step child.
I looked at both the C5 and C6 before buying. I couldn't bring myself to buy a C6 because of the headlights. They look like hell to me on all colors except black. The rest of the C6 looks fine to me.
I normally don't care much for the windshield decal, but I like it on your car.

Hey guys, I went to get some lab work done today and parked next to a very clean 2009 C6. Started taking a few pics for comparison and noticed a guy watching me. He was like "Hey man nice ride, want to trade?!?" He then asked what year mine was and I told him a 97'. His jaw about dropped!!! Also got a new windshield decal, needing some opinions on it. I like it so far for $9.99 and makes it look a bit more aggressive.
