Naked Pace car
Obviously I like the '98 PC but..... I can't understand how anyone would drive/own one without the decals on it!

I saw that the other day, I looked at their webpage they are asking $23,999. The car has 73K miles on it.

It's likely been repainted. Those decals are difficult to find now.

They should take those yellow wheels off of it without the decals.

Not a bad look minus the wheels and seats.

Are those the original seats that appeared in the Pace Car?
I've never been interested in purchasing a pace car reproduction model, however if you like them, go all the way. This pseudo pace car looks silly.

Honestly, even the paint doesn't look right without the decals.

Could be a repaint. The graphics can be bought at Phoenix Graphics and either Ecklers or Mid-America sells a replacement graphics kit.
And the car does look strange without the decal kit on it.

The decals are the best part. He should get rid of the wheels and put the decals back on.

Although I think the Pace Cars are hideous, they are the ONLY C5 to be a collector item, and be will probably increase in value.

Were these like the '84 Fiero pace car edition, where the lettering was in the trunk? The customer had the option of having them installed at no extra cost.
Mine was an '85 cloned to look like a pace car, many real pace car editions had the lettering in the trunk for their whole (short) life.
They looked good without the lettering, the '98....not so much

And only GM would call it Radar Blue, when it's clearly a purple paint color.
The idea behind the Pace Cars is to make them stand out, and the 98 definitely did stand out, yellow wheels and all.

Did no other C5 pace Indy or Daytona after 98?
