I put mine in storage on Dec. 31 and take it out of storage for the first car tour of the year on Jan. 1. GM put windshield wipers on for a reason.

Still have quite a bit of snow on the ground. Hopefully in a couple weeks, but could be longer.

It was sunny and 60 on Saturday and upper 50's on Sunday in northern Illinois, so I took it out of storage and officially kicked off the new year!

Good morning,

Yup, I put on about Hondo miles yesterday with the top down and even though it was windy 50 degrees in Chicago, my EasterSpin platinum blonde date didn't mind it one bit, she wanted it topless! Ann said it was the best Easter she ever had! It was a good time although by 6pm it was time to flip the top up. We stopped for a few scotches and awesome ribs afterwards and had a nightcap back at my place. Good time! She percolated very, very well OhYeah and the car ran good too...Hahahahaa Brought quite a few smiles to us both.

Question for you stored Vet owners, I'm sure you probably keep the trickle charger on the battery and if so where do you run the wires? On my Ultra Classic scooter I have a pigtail down the side. Curious if that's an option and if any of you do that or do you just run them under the side of the hood like? Apologies for the unrelated question to the topic. Thank you.

We still have quite a bit of salt and salt dust on the roads. We're supposed to get rain next week, so I'm hoping it washes it all away. My rule-of-thumb is generally 2 or 3 heavy rains before I take mine out.

I leave the hood open enough to run the wires down the side under the car cover.

Good morning Sonny,

Thank you. I figured as much and that's probably the case with everybody else as oddly enough nobody probably uses a pigtail to plug into, they probably just use the clips on the battery itself. Where on the bike, its under the seat so it would be a hassle to take the seat off etc.

So, that's what I will do as well. I suppose the hood is closed enough so that the hood light doesn't come on, oh wait. I've only had mine a couple weeks not sure if there even a hood light under there hahaha. I'll look next time I check my oil level.

Thanks again. Enjoy your day Sir.
