Got it out yesterday. I had back surgery 2 weeks ago, and wasn't sure I was going to be able to get in. To my surprise I was able to get in with no trouble. Only drove about 25 miles but boy it was just what I needed to perk me up.
I took mine out yesterday but only as far as the driveway. Let it run a while, put on the new plates and gave it a quick dusting after taking off the cover. Made the mistake of trying to put the plates on while the friggin' thing was running, almost killed myself! Such a dork sometimes!! (And no, I am not blonde!)
Here in Minneapolis we are supposed to get some rain this weekend and then two days of it next week. So, I should be out on the road soon. For me, I NEED new tires before I can go anywhere and that also requires I get my wheels redone. So, less the weather and more my own perfectionism!!
We're supposed to get some heavy rain next week, so the time is getting close.
DevilDog is more conservative than I am. I'm also in Northern Illinois and I've had mine out for about two weeks.
Also, an update on my previous thread, "Minor damage, could have been much worse", about the wheel and tire that came off another car and hit the Vette on Good Friday. The new parts are in and the body shop will start the work on Monday. Also, the insurance company is covering this under comprehensive coverage, not collision.

Ah, you are incorrect sir. I own a 2002 Ford Ranger, 150,000 miles. Daily driven for 11 years. Most dependable vehicle I have ever owned. And it hasn't rusted apart yet. So although I don't drive my 02 Vette daily, and no need to drive in snow, I take it out on nice days in winter. Whether the salt has been washed away by rain or not. I am just not **** about things like this. It's a car...
