I have installed the GoodYear non runflats on my 2001 C5, and without a spare I run the risk of flat bed'n it if I get a flat. I understand that the Z06 does not use the runflat tires, but it has a flat repair kit. Can anyone tell me what this consists of, so I can order it, or use aftermarket stuff. I'm afraid to use the off the shelf flat fix, because it may damage the pressure sensors.
Not 100% sure, but I believe that the "flat fix" will mess up the tire sensors - the Z06 doesn't come with tire pressure sensors, so there is no problem.
I carried a $25 cigarette-lighter powered compressor - although judging from the time it took to inflate a bicycle tire, I'd suggest a higher quality one than I bought.
Since my 2000 had sensors (and my new Z06 doesn't, how lame!) I didn't carry fix a flat. I kept a tire plugging kit in the back instead.
I figured it like this.
If I got a flat and could just call a flatbed, that's what I would do.
If I couldn't, then I'd try to plug the tire and re-inflate it.
I actually did this in the garage once, when I yanked a nail. It is hard (!!!) plugging the tire with the wheel on the car, but doable!

kenfichtner@hotmail.com The wanted approximately $400 for the Z06 Tire repair kit. So I just posted in the 'C5 Parts for Sale' that if any Z06 owner has their kit available I would by it. One Z06 owner responded that he is willing to sell it for $250, rest is history. I did! So you can do the same as I. Good luck
