Ok, I grewup on a farm, so:

1. Took my driver's test in a 1964 Chevy pickup 3 speed on the column.
2. First stick I ever drove was a tractor about 1960, but, the first vehicle was, again, a Chevy truck with 3 speed on the column. Something around 1960 as well.
3. First car I owned was a 1969 Toyota Corolla, I think is was a 4 speed stick.

Don't blame ya for that! Nice selection!

Guess I shouldn't be surprised that there are a lot of Chevys on the lists.

1. 1970 Impala

2. 196..8? Volkwagen Beetle

3. 1970 Impala (#1 above - bought it from the parents)

Numbers 1 and 2 were the same car. It was a Mazda 1800 wagon, I think a 1971 or 1972. I took my test on my second day of ever driving it....it had a four speed. I passed but there was a note about needing better clutch control.....ha....

My first "owned" vehicle was a 1966 Ford Econoline Super Van. **** carpet and "mood" lighting....yeehaw.

[QUOTE=sbulla;1583660362]Got into a discussion at work about firsts and thought I'd see if anyone here might be interested in participating.

The questions....
1.The car you used to take your first driving test for your DL?

2.The first manual transmission car you ever drove?

3.The very first car YOU owned?

For me, it was...
1.1965 Pontiac Catalina
2.1941 Chevy
3.1959 Chevy Impala convertible

1- 75 AMC Hornet (pretty sure)

2- 1959 Chevy Dump Truck (dual speed rear axle)

3- 1971 Chevy Vega (stock 4 banger)

I got my DL Dec of 1988 when I turned 16.

1.The car you used to take your first driving test for your DL?
1987 Murcury Topaz
2.The first manual transmission car you ever drove?
1988 Ford Ranger 4x4
3.The very first car YOU owned?
1988 Ford Ranger 4x4

Yes it was a new truck, and I worked my azz off for it !
Most kids at school thought my "daddy" bought it for me.
Not true.
