IMO, this is how it should have come from the factory.

A forum member did it?? Really.. care to share who? I was aware that Caravaggio up in Canada was the only company doing it. Looks really good by the way, congrats!!

Without the wing??? First of all, that is NOT a "wing". I think the rear spoilers on the Zs compliment them perfectly! Without them, they just seem to drop off.. Kinda the same with the 911's.

FYI the down turn in the C5 fascia design is there to correct for drag,, adding a spoiler will create more down force but also more drag making you lose fuel efficiency. Just an FYI from 80 hours spent in the wind tunnel.

I am in favor of the "spoiler" too as I have one on my Z also. In case anyone didn't know it, the reason the Caravaggio spoiler integrates so well with the design of the car is that it was designed by John Cafaro, who also happens to be the designer of the C5 originally. He was the lead designer on the GM Corvette team at the time, unfortunately he got moved to designing trucks now. The spoiler and other parts he designed were originally supposed to be GM accessory parts. He sold his molds to his friend, John Caravaggio.
BTW, I love the targa conversion. I've seen it in person and it is so cool. However, Caravaggio charges $6000 to do it and there are other things I would do with that money first.
Several years ago at the Birthday Bash at Bowling Green I saw the ultimate conversion that unfortunately never went anywhere. A guy had created a retractable roof for the Z06. It actually folded up and went into the trunk compartment. It was truly amazing and he had been complimented by some GM engineers that were also looking on about how well it was done. They told him he did a better job than the Caddy XLR roof. The problem was that it would cost $11,000.

I'm aware of your experience with GM, however I still can get 29-30 mpg on the highway even with my mods, so I'll live with the efficiency I might have lost, it looks so much better.:-)

Your car looks great - love the targa conversion for the FRC/Z06 body style.

Why are you posting this in 'General', and not in Z06 section?

I haven't never been able to come across a RETRACTABLE SUN ROOF ANYWHERE in a ZO6 or A FRC when researching this TOPIC!

I don't want to be THAT guy, but could you share a price? Or possibly PM me with one. This has literally been a dream of mine for the past 3 years. But only being 24, $7000 and a trip to Canada is WAY outside my range.
