I've had one for a few years now and love it. It doesn't do much on the dyno, so don't expect miracles. Just make sure you take your time installing it. It can be a PITA but worth it.
Hokey piles of junk in my opinion. Glad I got mine for free. K&N, Halltech, etc. will do the same function and you cannot feel a 5-10hp difference anyway even if one is better than the other. Read the directions on their website. Mine was brand new and I installed it perfectly, and I still claim that its pieced together junk that doesn't fit like factory.
This is on C5's, not sure if the C6 ones are the same.

Just buy yourself a Blackwing. Eazy install and works great.

I agree, fitment is crap however it does it's job... from under the hood it looks fine, the ram tubes that bolt behind the bumper are what looks like crap... I would suggest you silicone the filter into the upper housing to prevent any air leaks and dirt from getting past the edges... the seal they provide doesn't do a very good job so the silicone will make sure nothing gets past the edges of the filter... if you need to clean it you can just remove the upper housing and wash it with water... I will be taking mine off real soon since I'm going forced induction but that is the only reason for it coming off, I was satisfied enough with it to keep it on when I needed it... it is a bit pricey though

Whats a Hokey? Piles-is that related to Gomer? Free?

Worth 3/10th at the drag strip all by itself. Not changing it out period. Do your own research. 3-4 hour install. Only true cold air out there for the C5.
Its known as forced air induction, the more speed the more air is forced in there, thats why on a dyno they don't show anything. If anyone follows Sportbikes, they all went through this 15+ years ago and most all use it. Same story on the dyno, at speed is where the fruits of the design come into play.
I just installed a Blackwing, but I do own a Vararam also and someday will do the install.
Gomer Pyle may have designed those perfectly lining up pieces and extremely accurate fitting gaskets in the kit.
The quality is laughable. I wouldn't care if it improved my 0-60 time by a full second, crap is crap. What gets me is that it is a very expensive unit. You would think it would be made properly using premium materials.
I have one simple rule for any car mod: What goes in needs to be of comparable quality (or better) than what it replaces.

I've had mine for 7 years.....got the Power Duct too.
I didn't have any install probs. It was a 2 1/2 hr job with the wifey doing the "hand me that" and "hold this here".
Materials are thin, but light.IMO...improved driveability and solved the resulting lean codes with the Halltech Honeycomb MAF screen because my 02Z didn't have one.
