Next nooby Q? Hypertech tuner?
It me again, with another nooby question.
Since installing the SLP axle-back system on my 98 A4, I have noticed a slight loss of low end power; just enough to play heck with the part-throttle 1-2 shift point.
I've been looking at programers and the Hypertech Max energy #32500 looks as if it would "fill the bill" for now. At least until I complete some other mods and then get the car to a reputable tunes.
Does anyone have any experience with this programer? And if so, what where the pro's and con's?
Any serious problems?
Or, is there a better choice for "canned" tunes that will also allow me to adjust shift points, firmness and fan "on-and-off"?
Thank you for any advice you can help me with;
George

Send your computer to Chuck at CoW and have him do you a mail order tune, He does great things to the computer, Changed the shift points and line pressure just to name a few and when you get more mods he will update your tune for nothing, I have had great service from him with out any issues at all.
He will also adjust your fans using a 160 stat.

Generic tuners end up costing more and give you less.
I offer a complete system that allows me to continually update your tune as necessary.
Anyone with my Automatic C5 or C6 tune will tell you that it's well worth the price of admission!

Just read up on what your product offers and I like what I am seeing so far. Does this offer the user the options of making adjustments to shift point, firmness and fan temp adjustments; or would I have to have a seperate stored tune for each way I wanted them set up?

Bill is right. The BEST option is the autocal package. While it does not allow you to make the changes yourself,
I can simply send you different tunes that you can load in selectively when you chose.
If there was a need, you could keep 100 tunes in your laptop and load them into the AutoCal if necessary...
Usually, most guys keep the stock and the modified tune in the autocal at the same time so
they can always switch tunes should the need arise....30 seconds and your tune is changed.
