The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

What I've come to realize over the years is that 90%, or more, of the general population don't have a passion for automobiles and to them, they are simply machines used for transportation.
I had a black Acura TLS daily driver that I used to park in an assigned slot at my previous employers parking garage. Whenever I washed or detailed the car, I could not understand why I had so many scratches and marks on the top of trunk on the passenger side. One morning after arriving at the office, I realized that I had forgotten my iPhone in my car so I went back down to the parking garage to retrieve it. When I approached my car, the woman who parks next to me every day was in the process of gathering her roller-bag laptop case, etc. and had placed her 20 lb. purse with dangling chains, studs, jewelry, etc. on the top of my trunk in the exact spot where I had noticed the scratch marks. What really burned me, is that she didn't place it on the trunk of the BMW 3-Series she was driving!

I didn't know her and had only occassionally seen her in the building so I politely asked her not to place her purse on my car and showed her the scratch marks. She replied, "It's no big deal, it's just a car!". I replied "Exactly!" and grabbed her purse and dropped it with a loud thud on top of her trunk while giving her my best death stare.

I also think there is a lease vs. own mentality as well.
That's why I'm really careful when I drive and park my Corvette. I know its a 10 year old car, but it's one the best damn looking 10 year old cars out there so I'm becoming more possessive of it now than I was when the car was new and easily replaceable. I understand that most people just don't give a **** so I recognize that unfortunate fact and work around it.
Beat ya to it! Hahahaha

Damn man, I see your anger. I don't even do that to any of my cars vette or not.

No respect or common courtesy!
