I think we're all talking about the same product. It's full name is
NXT Generation Tech 2.0

Yup ! This is the stuff I use on my Daily driver.
Its amazing at first, but does not stay on the car long.

It seems to last a long time for me, but it's not a DD, and I use the paste. The liquid version of anything supposedly doesn't last as long as the paste in a can. That could be a wive's tale too though, I don't know. I do like the type of shine it gives you I know that.

Hmm. I didn't even notice it said NXT on it. New packaging made me think it was a new product. It does say it's a new formula that lasts twice as long. May be just a another "new and improved" packaging gimmick, but Mcguires is usually a pretty strait up co. We'll see how long it lasts. I rarely wash my garage cars. I use Mcguires #34 detailer from an auto paint store which doesn't remove wax but cleans the car nicely. I also have two air filters running 24/7 in my garage to keep the dust and film down to a minimum. Haven't washed my 60 Bugeye Sprite or 68 E-type in 12 yrs. and they look great, but that's because they are old metal cars and I HATE rust. The Vette will be washed occasionally being made of composit material. Still like to give Zaino a shot. Thanks Charlie.

If it was humid when you did it , that will make any wax hard to remove. I love the Tech 2 , best wax I've ever used especially for black.

I've been tempted to try the Black Box, but haven't yet. I wonder if it's better for a perfect paint or if it's designed to hide flaws?

Yep, I've been using Barry's products for many moons... Tech 2 is good
But Remember - Wax only protects... POLISH shines ..... I use their show Glaze first ( with my PorterCable 7424 of course) only then do I apply wax...

I use it once a year, and it lasts all year. Maybe the secret is not washing the car a lot. I drive my coupe Spring, Summer & Fall and only wash it maybe twice a year. It's always clean. Just dust it off with a California Car Duster before and after driving it. Then use McGuires "Final Inspection" detailer. One coat of McGuires NXT lasts all year for me.
