I don't think the issue was with people who don't have Vettes being here and participating, I think the issue was people who don't have them acting like they do. But as always I could be wrong.
My question is, who cares? Why does it even matter when the majority of the members with obvious knowledge and expertise are so easy to recognize?
It's a free forum and because of that you will have people of all types, be it owners and non-owners. If the forum started charging to be a member then my guess would be a lot of non-owners if not all would no longer be here, and that would be a real shame for those that appreciate the Corvette or aspire to own one.
Those people that just like to stir up the pot are everywhere in the forum worlds and dealing with people that may irritate you is just the nature of a free forum.
I still feel this forum has a great sense of community and offers endless amounts of help and enjoyment for everyone, let's keep it that way.
When I was a teenager in the 80's I could not find enough books/magazines to read about Corvettes.
If the internet had been available to me when I was a teenager I would have been ALL over this forum reading, and looking at cool cars's I wished I had.
I see nothing wrong with non corvette owners being here looking.

For some of you Members ...
This had nothing to do with a person being on here that may be interested In buying a Vette or someone whom may need answers on a car ....
This thread was about someone POSING as a corvette owner , that's my point ... Why would a grown *** man waste time in doing so ?
Who the hell is "posing" as a Corvette owner? This thread was directed towards non Corvette owners, you and i both know it. You even stated non Corvette owners have no right to post about other peoples cars.
So are you saying we all been CATFISHED!!!! Lmao... This guy is right in the sense of if you are pretending to be a corvette owner and not own one!!! I think that's what he is saying...RELAX...

I'm a longtime forum silent participant and Corvette owner. I read this forum for a couple years before buying a Vette. Who do you think you are making an accusation like this? Are there forum rules(or King James rules) against non owners participating in the forums? Personally I'm tired of your hyper-participation in this forum, self promotion, and ignorant posts like this one. Don't you have anything better to do? How many self promoting threads do you start a week?

I didn't realize there was a "people-pretending-to-own-corvettes" epidemic on this forum.
Thanks for the heads up, now I can be on the lookout for all of these "posers" that are supposedly everywhere.
Goes back to my original "huh" first comment. Your original post says nothing about "posers"... hence the "huh" comment.
After reading through the thread, I think the OP was trying to make a point, then didn't get the responses he was hoping for, and now he's changing his point....He should have been a politician.

I am an owner of a 02 Z06 that has used this forum to meet people and to build one bad azz ride ! I have a GED for an education I make 160,00 plus a year and have nothing better to do today or tomm then talk to you .. Or to plan for my next corvette that I may be attending .. There is a button on your iPad or your lap tap or what ever it is that your using that will not let you see my post or my lovely pics that I take of my car , if you don't like what I have to say then stay away ...
Further more sir might I add I come from a world of poverty and Hell I've clawed my way threw life to make it at the young age of 46 and I never forget where I have come from , my hand is always out for someone who needs my help , ask a few of these members they will tell ...
To answer your question direct ... Nope I have nothing better to do with my time ... Enjoy your day you you miserable man ..
I like the shows at the Cabo Wabo. Not Van Hagar, but Hagar only. The dude can hit some notes, is a generally decent guy, and the music isn't about bustin' a cap in somebody. I can live with that.

And his guitar solos aren't that bad...way better than I expected...I would say it's good clean entertainment.
