Love my vert too! We live up near Seattle and we just tell folks it rains all the time. We do that so everyone doesn't want to move here and make it too crowded.
Don't let word get out of our record breaking sunshine for July!
congrats! on the new Vert! i also love silver, along with torch red of course. hope you have many miles of smiles. i love my vert as well, it's alot of fun to cruise around with the top down and see, hear and even smell things you just don't in a car that's all sealed up.
Another vert guy here. I just love the ease of viewing and feeling of not being tightly enclosed. I feel more in control of a vert than Coupe/FRC. That said, I want a FRC and a Coupe!
Can it even be considered a sporting car without the ability to stow the top? Tradition says no, and so do I. I also question roll up windows as possibly too radical and new. It really breaks a long line of traditional window design. Same with the tops.
Sporting equipment suggests optimum application to the task, for pleasure or sport , not race, driving with a top is not needed. Put a top on the vehicle and the experience changes. Both visibility and enjoyment decrease, along with other sensory stimuli.
One can see how some say cars are coffins once the top is fixed.
I wish everyone could experience the joy I have found driving a convertible.
I bought it to cruise the redwoods, but was just talking with a flirting chick on the back of a guy`'s Harley last time out. She certainly wouldn't be trying to yell through the drivers window with a hard top. Just a for instance.
A lot of people have the ability to select a convertible, but do not know what they are missing, and never will. Some might see the smile on a convertible driver's face and figure it out. I hope so.
