Managed my drone problem!!

I am running the B&B bullets. Really nice for ripping, but I get headaches on drives over an hour from the resonance/drone. Go on ebay and buy some rattletrap Fatmat. Strip your trunk area down and apply the Fatmat. I also did it behind my seats and under my center counsel a bit. Buy at least 50 sq ft. I have not driven over an hour yet but I noticed a substantial difference in the cruising I have been doing 70-75. Hundred bucks and an afternoon of time - totally worth it!

The OP is referring to Billy Boat Bullets not Borla. But I hear the Borla stingers can be just as bad.

I agree that the Corsa catbacks are the best no-drone catbacks out there.

I have long tubes, high flow cats and Borla straight pipes. Awesome sound but horrible drone.

Car isn't my DD so I can live with it.

There was another thread about this recently, Borla came on and commented saying the models made after 2011 (if I recall correctly) have the drone issue fixed. I can't personally verify this, though.

if so, they must have stolen Corsa's technology....I smell a lawsuit.

My SLP Powerflo didnt drone till I put on Kooks 1 7/8" longtubes and a catless X pipe. Now its drone city.

I also have Dynatech long tube headers along with the Borla Quad Tip Stingers and I like the sound. Of course I also have Second Skin Audio pro-series sound deadening too.

I have B&B Bullets with the x-pipe. Yep, they drone, but usually I kinda like it. Besides, my ride is a vert, so I don't notice it over the wind noise anyway!
