It never occurred to me to call BS on this story. I dunno if it's BS; don't care. I am surprised that I'm the first to say that it's a pleasing story--to hear of two lawyers involved (no matter how indirectly) in a deal in which no third party gets screwed for the only thing that seems to matter to them--th'almighty dollar.
Some guy is bailing on his father's possessions as fast as he can collect his monies (for the first bid), and another lowballs him courtesy of his wife. I find the scenario more of a fulfilling example of "what goes around"... even Pops got insulted in a most left-handed way by our story's lawyer son. Raise a pig, and you've got a piece of bacon. It's heartwarming.
I haven't checked this ops' rambling for better part of a week and I must agree that the "Limited" term made even my eyebrows pop up. His weak reason saying the production was "limited" doesn't even come close to covering his behind as pretending to be a Vette owner. And if his wife is an attorney, she should be keeping a closer eye on him in public.
