What a deal though. Go from coupe to a Z, probably drop a lot of miles, and pocket $5k. I've always heard it's better to be lucky than good.

Congratulations and enjoy your new Z!

Oh it happend alright. Guy works for a new york law firm at the Citicorp Building (thats the one with the funny roof). Wife works for NJ firm. She used to work with him at the new york firm until the commute got to be too much for her from NJ.
Wife has been beating the crap out of me since because I fought like hell when she wanted me to go with her so now I am eating dirt :-)

Every time I go near the car she looks at me and says you should have stayed home and laughs her *** off.
Going to be a while before I can register and drive it as my own in that he is having trouble finding the title. If he can't he has to execute power of Attorney through CT. to issue a new one. Don't know how long it is going to be.
Thanks for all the well wishes. First time in my life I ever had this kind of luck. Usually I am on the losing end.

I used to resent things like this happening to the "other" guy but since I've gotten older I find that it's a wonderful thing when something like this happens to anyone. I'm happy for you and it's plain your DW is too. Pay it forward.

First of all I sincerely and open heartedly thank those that were happy for me. From the bottom of my heart I wish you the same luck.
As stated this is the first time in my life anything this good happened to me and consider myself blessed that I can afford toys and a fantastic loving wife who was happier for me than I was ( although she keeps rubbing it in). She will not drive the cars. She grew up in Queens NY and used to taking trains and busses her whole life and drives her Honda Civic to and from work only or as least as possible (she hates driving) so she did not even care it was stick.

AS for the negative comments saying it did not happen because I have not posted pictures yet ( my job keeps me going sometimes 12 to 14 hours a day) you are absolutly correct. It did not happen and I made the whole thing up just because you did not see a picture??????????? I guess you don't know what the car looks like so you have to see one??????? amazing how some people think.
you can believe what you want because I really don't care, but I am looking forward to getting the title (don't know how long this is going to take) and registering it so I can drive my make believe car :-)
Enjoy Life. It sometimes can be good.

I'm fairly confident the "didn't happen" comments are "tongue-in-cheek" without making it obvious with emoticons. Sometimes I post something absurd without the usual indicators just to throw people off. On the flip side, there have been lurkers that post questionable stories so they eventually get called out.

Don't take it too seriously......

AND THEN POST SOME #$%&% PICTURES!!!!!

....see how that works. < obviously joking.

Still no pictures?
I'm thinking he stepped all over the 'claim' when he said the car had two tops. It's time for someone to claim 'BS'.
His wife is an attorney and he can't spell or use proper English?
