So after seeing pictures of the lower rear bumper plastidiped I thought I would give it a try. Here are my results. Overall for my first time I don't think I did too bad but there are areas that need touching up (left side is ) or possibly just re-doing the whole thing.
Thanks
I touched up the left and it doesn't look as bad now but the lines could be straighter. I used the green automotive masking tape and while it was easier than the blue painters tape it still wasn't that easy to get the curve right. I'm going to leave it as is for now because from a distance it still looks decent.
Next on the list are my wheels. Still on the fence about it. Ill probably do one wheel put it on and see how it looks.
What's best to use to tape off? I was going to try with the blue painters tape....
i used blue painters tape and when i redo it cus like op i have some rough spots, i got some advice from dood73 to use electrical tape and thats what i'll try next time. heres a link showing what dood73 did http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...ot-my-day.html
Congrats. I recently joined the plasti-dip club too. Did my wheels, and GS stripes that came out well. I also did the whole back end like a C5R and didn't like it at all. The nice thing obviously was that it came right off.

I plan on doing my wheels in the near future.
