Quieted down the interior a bit...
So I've been hearing the "vacuum" noise a lot of people talk about emanating from the drivetrain/torque tube area under the tunnel inside my Z06. I finally made the time to address it yesterday. Ripped everything apart, replaced my isolator boot at the base of the shifter (the previous owner had cut part of it out around the base so it wasn't sealing tight against the shifter base), and laid down some generic dynamat on top of the tunnel from under the hvac all the way back to the water fall. I didn't have time to take pics as I was doing it at my brother's place, and in a little bit of a hurry. I'm happy to say it definitely helped! The vacuum noise is hardly noticeable now, and there is virtually no heat coming up through the shifter or behind the hvac unit now. For less than 2 hours of work and a few bucks, it was definitely worth it, especially if you have a modified car like mine that generates a bit more noise/heat than a stocker.

Not a bad mod to do. The tunnel area does generate a lot of heat and keeping that out of the cockpit sure helps.
