I was wondering what was all involved in doing this mod. I am doing a light mod red interior. I ordered some new seat skins and other items and will make a decision on how much more red to add, the only red on the skins and other items is the stitching. Thanks for posting and explaining your process along the way. I like it alot by the way.
Thanks everyone. After three years it is holding up almost perfectly. I say almost because the driver's side speaker grill needs to be touched up due to me dragging my shoe across it about every other time I get out ...just a small thin stripe about an inch long where I have worn through the red and the white is starting to show. A simple touch up I will handle in the Spring.
Having recently painted many parts to match the interior of my 03 50th.
My experience was that the correct SEM paint colors did NOT match the OEM worth a damn. But the ColorBond paints were an EXACT match.
I was searching through the colorbond website...which interior paint code did you choose for the vinyl? Also do you have any pics of the results? Thanks & much appreciated!

My 03 doesn't have a red interior.
I was just saying that in my interior I found that the ColorBond products to have a much better color match than the SEM products did
Well, five years later and it looks as good as it did right after I completed it. One exception - a little wear now showing on the speaker grille of the driver's door. This is because I keep rubbing my shoe on it getting in and out

You might consider a coat or two of clear over your color coat. Should help with the shoe issue ;^)
