IM tough? Yeah.. but you brought it here.

Yep...gotta do clinicals in the ER. I was a paramedic...did plenty of ER clinicals, not to mention emergency was my game.

I've gone in excess of 155mph. Tired of the whining...not saying it's right, just tired of the whining from you about people going over 55mph in every thread I see you.

Well let me be the first municipal highway dept. entry. 20 years of paving, patching holes, laying pipe (storm water that is) and plowing and salting the roads. Last 15 have been in vehicle maintenance. I went for the benefits of getting out of the hot summer sun and the ice cold winter winds. Not to mention getting out of the seat of a snow plow.
35 years in and a couple to go yet.

you know, it's kind of a recent phenomenon, ten years ago there was a kills section on every major forum and people met up at late night street races. once cops started towing and seizing cars there was this huge shift away from it, the crazy part to me is that it's touted as a safety thing by the net nut swingers rather than the political shift with police that caused it all to happen

I remember it well...I honestly enjoyed the sections....good times. Its all the result of internet brands buying all the forums and starting the regulatory bs.

I mean, frankly speaking, street racing made my shop money...for yrs. i'm not condoning it, but in yrs of racing on the street, the only incident we had was an idiot stunting his streetbike and buckling himself. I'm talking prob thousands of races...cars 10 sec capable, not one incident. There is a stupid way to race, and a more responsible way. You see these races on the street with people 5 inches from the cars...you're waiting to die...of course. We had our stuff set up right, and we never had a problem.

I just dont understand why grown men cant talk about a stupid race or an on the whim run, ON THE INTERNET, without some liberal here up your *** about it. I get tired of all these people policing our actions, our words, our lives, etc. everyone wants to bestow their powers upon another anymore. We cant just hang out on a stupid forum and enjoy the freedom of speech as grown men in america!? Its like grade school for gods sake. You dont like racing on the street...dont do it, but not talking about isnt gonna change a thing in this world.

I'm a semi-retired Human Resources professional. I've been the HR Director for a number of different firms - my longest stint was with Levi Strauss & Co. As strange as it seems, I've also had a "side" career in firefighting and EMS. I currently run a little HR consulting firm that specializes in affirmative action plan preparation. I am also a firefighter and Paramedic with my local volunteer fire department.
