The "paced" type of speeding ticket is one of the hardest to contest, basically you are going to loose. Sorry bud but you are kind of scr&#d. Your driving record might help (or not) when you appear in front of the judge. I got one for 94 and it costed me $460 with school and no record. Buddy of mine got his second one in 16 months for 96 and ended up paying $1200 plus 3 month restriction on his licence. All depends on judges mood. Like the saying goes "if you want to play be prepared to pay". Any way good luck and let us know how it turns out.
I take by these post that NONE OF YOU have ever driven 100mph on a public road EVER.........
I don't condon it or advise it, but I'm not a hypocrite either.
OP; go to court, pay the money and be glad they didn't lock you up or suspend your license. They could have done both.
I used to be well overb100 frequently lol many times 185+ , but on bikes. Just enlightening the mood in pa u would impound carn lose license and major fines
SO Ill answer and the majority bash me all you want .Let me help you out op. Most people that say "lawyer up" prepared to go to jail etc etc have never had a wreckelss. Can you go to jail?? sure ANY state you can go to jail for wreckelss that's up to the officers. I caught a wreckelss a few months ago. Was put in handcuffs gun drawn and all. Officer asked me what the **** I was doing told him I was being stupid and I was sorry. He let me go with a wreckelss ticket. I went to court and it got dismissed. I had another one years ago doing over 100 same thing got paced. It was in the middle of nowhere and so was the officer. He let mw go gave me a wreckless and went on my way. Think I either got off or had to go to driving school.
best bet go to court plead not guilty. More than likely if your record is clean you will get driving school, You also get to talk with the officer and plead it down..Again driving school. Also if you did get locked up you would be in a holding cell with a few other people that want to get the **** out. You don't go to general pop or a pod unless your staying for awhile. I wouldn't worry about it honestly. Now if you crashed and hurt someone you would be screwed but I'm telling you, you will get a slap on the wrist. Don't waste money on a lawyler. you didn't murder someone, your not going to prison, etc etc. Pm if you need more help. I have had my fair share of tickets.
140 in a 70, ticket wrote at 105 in a 70(Constable said if he had my car he'd do the same thing), went to Judge talked about it, payed $225 and if no more tickets for 30 days....never happened. Dang I LOVE TEXAS!!!!!!
Texas where men are men, cars are cars, and as long as you leave others alone.....have at it!
Ok,,, you are merging on the freeway at 70 mph and you see traffic in your lane, and need to accelerate to merge. 100+ mph is done in about two seconds.
The trick is to decelerate back to 70 mph quickly.

I'd say try and keep the speed down from now on unless you are at a track - too many chances of injuring/killing someone out on a public road. As for the ticket, ask for a lesser charge if possible and then just pay the fine.

I'm gonna throw this out there. I fully believe he did work on the C5 vette project. It's no coincidence that the year he retired the C5 vette program got much better. Preretirement 97-00 cars were loaded with issues. 01-04 vettes are better and more desirable.
