Default Speeding Ticket

Got a speeding ticket on the vette one late night and was given a "going over 100mph" citation. I was not radar or lazered but only paced. Also, was given a infraction and not a misdemeanor....

Anyone been through this? And what should I do???

How much is this ticket???

This was in the freeway

Thanks!

Around here, 100mph gets you a $10,000 fine, car impounded, I believe you lose your license temporarily, and good luck ever finding insurance again. Look on the bright side, at least you don't live in Ontario, Canada.

get the hell out of California is my suggestion. Or slow down.

In almost every instance they will take an LEO's word over yours.

Florida speed over 100 is considered reckless driving and at the lawdogs discretion could land you in jail.

Hope you have some cash, but then again just about everybody has a payment plan.

You're lucky he didn't take you to jail. That speed in California is enough to earn some time in a cell next to Bubba.

two post in the same day on the same issue. Are you all about self depravation?
You will get beat up in either post because excessive speed ( exceeding 100mph ) is just plain stupid.

Obviously it's not a good idea but maybe he is re-posting because you came in and took a dump in his last thread.

You did the same thing when I had a question about hood repair. Spamming me about original MCM hoods and the like.

The best advice is clearly to just go take your licks and stop driving in a dangerous fashion that puts you and others at risk of serious injury/death. But I'm not going to call the guy stupid because I like to come in threads and just be rude.

Have you ever experienced over 100mph??? Watching TV shows or movies do not count.

If you have a Corvette you ought of known that these cars causes temptations. COME ON, you should of know since you were a GM Design Engineer. Unless you weren't involved with the vette's! I can understand.

You know what they say, people who save their cars by not driving them and testing the speed out are like people who are saving their wife in good condition for the next guy!

Thanks!

No question...those speeds belong on closed courses only. If you're guilty, just pay up and feel fortunate not to lose your license, car, life or all three.
