Well I just saw my 1st c7 in the wild and I must say it is a really nice/nasty looking beast. It passed going the other way so the look was brief and mainly a frontal view. That said, my "want one now" button did not engage. I was just as proud to be crusin' in the old c5. You c5 designer guys should still be proud.....sure its an older car now with old technology , but you guys created a masterpiece! signed: "a biased old c5 guy"...lol
I guess I have to agree with you , after using my avatar name .LOL I will keep mine. And save me $$$$$$$ 75,000 but I wish I had one in my garage .
sorry about the avatar name intrusion....guess I need to change It to "older c5 guy"...........I ask my wife after I saw it (the c7) if we could start buying up as many c5's as we could because in time the world may see how sweet a design it really is and the value would go out the roof and we could be rich......she said nice try.......lol
It's hard for all of us to step out of our comfort zone. I've only had my C5 six months now and while I do like the C7, I realize that step equates to about $60k...
For me right now that's reason enough to be perfectly happy!
well guys, before the thread becomes a repeat of other threads with c5 vs c7 attributes, i would like to clarify my original intent of posting and that being a shout out to anybody who had a hand in the creation of the c5 and may still be visiting the forum. Yep i am biased because i fell hard in love the 1st time I saw the 97 c5 but had to wait 13 years to own one......i am with most everyone on the fact my taste will change and a c6 or c7 might one day be mine (especially if the price falls into my range) but as far as sheer design magic, the c5 will always be my choice and again, just a note to let the design/engineer guys know i love their work.....by the way, are there any still on the forum?

No way 60,000 . The dealers have them for 69,000 before taxes and tags etc. Maybe 76,000 . Maybe in a year they will come down .
I really like all but the *** end of the C7 ...BUT I too am an old man (70) and have no plans of buying a C7
BUT I would IF I could fit it in my garage without having to sell either my 64 my 72 my 76 my 79 my 88 35th or my 98 ..3 convertibles 3 coupes...
IF one of my cars had to go it would be the 79 and IF I did that I'd be looking for a Mid year station wagon (coupe)
I'm stuck in the past but that is ok.... better sure is better then to be in the ground

Suggest you start a new thread with just such a title, I would be interested (as many would) too.

Wow, you own all those Corvettes? Now I know what happened to all those rides, they are sitting in your garage, lol. Well if it has to be known I would have more but my garage has a limit. Best wishes for you and your collection.Greetings, Rob
