What does "driven hard" mean?

It's a Corvette people, if I drove a Buick, I would drive it like a grandpa!
I have 700hp and have attended 1/4 and 1/2 mile racing and several blasts at triple digits, in Mexico of course!
I take very good care of my car and do proper maintenance often, but lets face it, it's a Covette, and yes I have pushed my car to it's full potential!
I look at it like this, if Jennifer Aniston was naked in your bed, would you "Take it easy and slow" or would you "Drive like you've never driven before???"

what he said, I drive the Sh*t out my car, yep she's modified (fully) but it gets maintained like its a fighter Jet best of everything way before it's required

I don't drive my Vette hard ever. I had a doctors appt. in Lexington today which is about a 90 mile drive one way. I was running a bit late so I drove a little "harder" than I normally would and was only 10 mins. late. On the return trip home I drove "normally" and once home washed, dried and parked it in the garage. Everything still works.

What is "fully" modified. Does it mean you replaced 8 pistons instead of 4 or did you pay "full retail" for a tune. How do you know when to stop? When is "fully" reached.

. To the OP, take a good look at who you are buying the car from, maint receipts, what mods and more importantly, who installed them etc. Just bc a car is modded doesn't necessarily mean it was "driven hard". I used to daily drive mine and im full Bolton and cammed. I drive my car hard occasionally (High RPM shifts). Funny though, I have only ever done a handful of burnouts in the 6 years ive owned her. Havent ever tracked my car. Seen PLENTY of mexico runs though

Driven hard
I’ve read how many people rather not buy a modified Corvette because it is likely that it has been driven hard. But since this is considered a high-performance car and part of owning one usually involves at least the occasional “see how it goes” usage. With that in mind what really constitutes “driven hard”?
