Car has a stock clutch with a brand GM slave cylinder and a tick performance master cylinder. It shifts fine daily driving it but once i go wot and try to shift at 6600 it wont let me go into gear! Do I adjust the tick more or is this another issue?
It has a cam and bolt ons. I had a spec 3+ in it before and it did the same thing. I swapped out the clutch and the slave and the problem is still around
It has a built trans by Texas performance drivetrain. It dosnt seem like a synchro issue and I have gm fluid in it. Maybe it's the slave cylinder fluid? What does everyone use?
could try bleeding it again just to make sure no air is trapped...which could cause this
ate super blue is one of the more commonly used fluids
other than that you start suspecting the stock clutch. the only other options are the ls7 clutch or the monster stage 1 if you want to stay full organic {which i certainly would}
There was talk a few years ago about this condition caused by "disc glazing". Sometimes, when a stock clutch starts having the pedal issue, it's disc is overheated, and forms a "glaze". No amount of bleeding would clear up the issue, and a new Tick would do little, if any good, with this condition.
Adjust the Tick so that the clutch has a high release in normal driving. When you shift at high RPM, the engagement point will move down lower, but at least you'll still be able to shift. If you have the Tick adjusted so that the engagement point is close to the floor, when you shift at high RPM and the engagement point drops, your pedal will be hitting the floor before you get there and you will not be able to shift.
Did the rev test and doesn't roll forwards. If it was clutch glaze why would I have done it with 3 separate clutches?
In your original post, you state your car has a stock clutch. The same problem wouldn't occur with 3 different clutches, assuming the hydraulics were swapped at the same time. There has to be some common denominator to cause the same issue with 3 different clutches.
It has a stock clutch with A stock master and a stock slave when the problem first started , then I put a new spec. 3+ clutch with a new master and a new slave. The problem didn't go again so I added a tick master on it. The problem was still there so I took out the spec clutch and bought a new replacement c5 z06 clutch with a new gm slave and gm master. The problem continued so I figured I would give the tick a chance.
subscribing, curious what this turns out to, i have similar issue as well. Stock slave/Spec 3+. At high rpms, my clutch pedal gets harder/firmer and it's harder to shift. I was hoping a tick mc would cure it as well as I've been looking into Tick MCs recently.

I had this exact issue in my fbody and the Tick MC fixed it! Not sure the issue for OP but sounds interesting
