this visual actually helps a lot since my car is a pewter coupe also! beautiful car what side skirt and chin spoiler are those? looks impossible to drive through speed bumps and driveways tho!
Thanks! The side skirts and splitter are from JWmotoring. Exactly like the ACI ones, but a lot cheaper. Car doesn't go over speed bumps and only certain driveways. LOL Everything is pretty much flat around here, so I'm good, but it's definitely low.
cars a little dirty, top of Pikes Peak - but my tint is 35 sides - 15 rear - have not had any LEO issues - even in 2 different multi state road trips. - knock on wood!

My CAlif. car also came tinted, but with a reflective addition in the dark tint. The dark tint mostly hides the silver transparency, and works like a one way mirror. Except it is not highly reflective like a mirror. It is darker and more reflective in the back, but the opening is small in a convertible, and it is still tinted black so doesn't detract , it looks mostly black to the eye, but has an unusual visual depth that comes with black chrome and such. You don't really notice it from inside, it's pretty transparent.
Just had DWs car done the other day. Kentucky law enforcement will nail you if you're too dark and 7% is about the limit but a lot of folks have much darker. They're just careful not to commit any violation to get pulled over I guess.
I have 10% on mine. My doctor was kind enough to sign a DMV form and the permission is on my registration card and will follow the vehicle if I sell it. The info also turns up on any license check.

I still don't see where it lists what the law states though.
I don't see a % number.
The windshield and front driver's side and passenger's side windows cannot receive any aftermarket tinting.
If the rear window of a vehicle is tinted, the vehicle must have outside rearview mirrors on both sides.
Sounds like your not allowed ANY tint on the sides at all.
