I believe it is under options. I turned mine off from there while playing with all the settings. I turned them back on though because I like the idea of some knucklehead being able to see me a little better.
I think your mistaking DRL's for the approach light feature.
I replace the stock DRL/turnsignal yellow bulbs with APC super white bulbs. I wanted them to match the PIAA 1100X driving lites that I just installed.
They don't look that bright when they are on with the PIAAs.
Will have to check it out at nite.
are these driving lights on a Z06 or are they on a regular C5?
if on a Z06 how much did they run you installed if you don't mind answering.
Just curious
They are the PIAA 1100s installed on a Z06. LAPD had a sale for $159 shipped last month. The regular price is $185+shipping. Installed them myself. You need to make a bracket to install them. Also need the switch from GM.
Here is some info and pics I took of the brackets:
Send all you thanks to Bill (wt2ga) as he is the original designer of these brackets. I just copied his brackets.
This pic is of .125 pieces of alumnium. They are 2" wide and you can see the height of each piece:
This is a closeup measurement of the 2 holes that you will drill:
Each piece is 2" wide:
Pic of both pieces put together as they will be. Drill the hole in the small piece:
In this pic you can see the 2 small holes to the left. I drilled these and double flushed some small rivits to hold the pieces together. You have to have your fastner flush at least on this side:
