There is an adapter harness that will allow you to run the rear o2 sensors in the front postions connected to the front harness. The reason some people do this is to avoid getting the o2 heater element related codes after installing long tube headers. The rear o2s are said to have heater elements that come up to temp faster.
I have also read that the o2 sensors being sold today have better heating elements in them than the originals did, so swapping rears to fronts may no longer be necessary.
