This is funny. I'm often on the Ferrarichat forum and this sort of thing goes on with many 348 owners wanting to sell them to buy 328's. Even though technically speaking, the 348 is a better car with a more refined interior, the 328 is a better drivers car and more desireable. The 348 never caught on with the Ferrari crowd and thus today a 348 can be had for a lower price than a well kept 328.

So, to get back to your question, the answer is up to you. What makes you happy is what counts. Keep in mind that you are asking this question in the C5 section and the answers will be slightly biased towards going for a C5. If you ask it in the C6 section, they will think you're crazy. For me, I would never trade up to a C6 unless it was a Z06.

I can truly see your point that the lines of the C5 look better!

I think the C5 looks better than the C6 by far. I still love the look of the C5 from the front. I have never drove a C6 so I can't say performance wise.

I had the same thought when I went from my C4 to a C5.

I'm pretty old-school when it comes to sports cars. I had a 69 big block for 27 years, and have had my C5 for 11 years. My thoughts are that the C6 and C7 are really great cars, but I personally do not like a lot of technology in my car. The C5 is about as technical as I want. I don't even have a heads-up display. Speedo, tach, and basic gauges, and just enjoy the car. Plenty on performance for every day, parts availability, realtively easy to work on, not a wallet buster to buy one, and great looks! I just cranked over 100K this summer on it and it still goes like it did the day I bought it. Couple sets of tires and a clutch an that's it! (Ya gotta get an MN6). Love the C5 ---- My 2 cents!!!!

I bought my C4 to cut up for my '66 Chevy C10 truck project. It was an auto because I wanted the truck auto. But after driving it for a month, I was in love. I couldn't cut it up and I drove the wheels off it, but always wished it was a manual.

My little brother has an '05 C6 M6 and as much as I wanted one, I would either have to wait and find a deal (he paid $16k for his) or just get the C5, but it had to be a manual.

While his seats are nicer, there isn't much else I envy. I really liked the '02 Z06, but I needed a coupe for space (and I like the glass top), but the performance is awesome. For a bone stock car, it is very well put together.

For me, on body styling and the interior, I think the C5 shines brighter.

I've seen some C6's that were set up right that really looked great, but that's the exception.

Every time I see a C6 interior, I'm thankful for my C5. Just my opinion.

Plus mine is a manual because an auto was a total deal breaker...for me.

All that aside, do what feels right.

Good comparison. I agree re both the C5 and the 328.

And now having driven my C5 for an extended period of time (3 hour drive home), I REALLY love the look of the front end while driving. The more rounded shape reminds me of a hot chick with curves.

Since you have the money, sell the c6, get a c5 and super charge it.
That removes any talk about which is faster.

I bought a C5 cause I could not afford to buy and super charge a c6, but after being around
more corvettes I like my c5 better. I am not really a fan of the c6. Never compared base
performance. I new I was supercharging my corvette before i even owned it.

330 or 400ish rwh horse power just doesn't cut it for me.

I like the idea of owning the new car. I would rather have a c6 just cause I don't like
that i have to say my car is a 2000. I would rather be able to say it is a 2013.

It is interesting to see how may people can not tell a C5 and a C6 apart.
The average person cannot tell which is newer even if they are side by side.

I like them both. I've seen some really nice C6's. But in my opinion it will take a lot to outdo the look of the hardtop C5.

OK, day 2 and I am loving the dash layout. I can't imagine what this car would be like with double it's current hp. Guys on here pushing 600+ hp are nuts.
