That's why the majority are chrome? Let me guess you have flat black? That's why there's a huge wheel market, but to call chrome tacky

Nope, no flat black for me. I prefer polished or painted wheels such as silver or gray.

As far as a huge chrome market, of course there is a big market. There is also a huge fake stick on fender vent market because people love to buy tasteless accessories.

I'm not sure where you're going with this? Your "preferred polished" wheels have a chrome appearance! Also, funny that while looking through my C7 brochure there are 3 available "wheel' in chrome" options, but they must be tacky and tasteless too? My car is 15 years old and new ones still have chrome, thankfully they're a better appearance wheel than the ww's, but still a chrome finish.

If you don't like the ww's so be it, but your comparison of a chrome finished wheel to a "huge fake stick on fender vent" is way off base!

Mea cuppa, mea cuppa. After defending wagon wheels for years I have finally bought a set of the original magnesium light weight wheels. It will take a little time to gather up new TPMS and fix the curb scratches but they will be mounted in the spring. I'll miss the wagon wheels. They are stock and remind me of the wheels on 80's Ferraris. And that's not a bad thing.

"Chrome appearance"? You can't be serious, lol. Polished wheels look like shiny metal. Chrome is just a coating on top of metal. Many times it looks cheap, almost like plastic on top. If you like it, more power to you. Most chrome wheels are done cheaply and flake, pit, or stain. A polished wheel can always be repaired and made to look great again with just elbow grease. Chrome is much easier to maintain, as you just wipe it off, but I'd rather go through the work of having to maintain a real set of wheels

If you honestly think polished wheels have a chrome appearance, there is no reason to keep arguing with you.

Who's arguing? This is a poor picture of a C7 brochure ( couldn't find it electronically, with all the wheels). Yes, polished wheels have a chrome appearance. This has nothing to do with stock ww's, so I'm done!

Enjoy your chrome.

My polished wheels look nothing like chrome though, no matter how many poorly scanned images of a car brochure you supply.

I like chrome. Even though the chrome on my stock wheels have been polished so much it's wearing through. I'm lazy and have too many toys that constantly need detailing. Those look good, what are they?
