I agree 100%
Anyway .... Corvette must remain on its original RPO.

I have replica Z06.. on my 1999 Vette Convertible.

I just bought beautiful WAGON, to put my Vette as has the time!

No China wheel or tuning ... for a car legend.

But no ....
The most respectable Corvette ... are original. Or Not?
If she came out of the factory with WAGON ... she must have Wagon foot.

When you look older .... c3.
This is the "unmodified" most wanted.

You like what rims?
What year Vette?

My car had the WW when I bought it and just didn't like them at all. If they were chrome I would have at least kept them because the chrome was appealing.

But since they weren't I put them on Craig's list and a gentleman with a C4 scooped them up with tires for $600.00. So both of us were happy.

I understand and agree, especially on classics. I had to read what he wrote about four times to understand him though.

I wish I had kept my oem Z06 wheels. I typically try to keep stock parts I remove but I did let those go, unfortunately.

If anyone want's to hedge their bets on wagon wheel fortunes of tommorow, I will sacrifice my remaining two 17" and one 18" with all 4 center caps to make someone happy!

nutseynut7 ....... Your corvette is very beautiful!
A friend of Paris .... has coupé 2001
It's a great color!

Here's mine ..1999 Red Magnetic/Oak ..US model ...with the z06 rims.

And here is my new ... for January.

My Corvette has a special story ... it is also a "pilot vehicle"
It is mainly for this ...
I want it back stock.
It should soon be like that ...

It will be less beautiful ...
but I respect his specification RPO

I respect your words.
Sorry for my language .. I'm in Europe.

Nothing makes a C5 more dated looking than the hideous wagon wheel. One of the ugliest wheels GM ever put on a Corvette(Right behind the 84-90 C4 wheels..)

Style is a funny thing. I've been watching people hate/love the C7, and love/hate the C6. I remember when the new body style of BMW came out in 2000 or so...I couldn't stand them. Now I think the 90's BMW looks plain/old. To a degree we like what we are told to like....it sounds like you are just a stronger man and won't be swayed. I say rock those wagons!

Steel is real baby. Chrome wagon wheels on a lowered black convertible here. Makes it pop visually. The effect kind of grows on you, as they get more stylistically dated and unique. Plus, no safety worries as they age.

I think anyone who is riding around in a c5 is a little late to any conversation pertaining to any restraint in automotive style , as in tacky chrome wheels. I mean look at the thing, it's not moderate.

GM does not expect its customers to buy into every design concept. You owe GM nothing. Not everyone likes wagons, but some hold them special for loyalty reason and some for the esthetics of a stock car. some think that it will make the car more valuable down the road and have to look at them for 50 years before that idea could become true. I said could.. but then the car would have to sit for 50 years and not be driven.
As I've said many times , the secret to life is " Being happy everyday" how you choose to be happy is an individual preference. Since my health issue have taken over my perception of life. I live each day to the fullest. Being happy every day makes for a much better daily experience.
I cant fault those who want to keep their wagon wheels and I cant fault those who want to changed them. There is no right or wrong in either case.
