Little taste of things to come in the next couple weeks hopefully. Just got back from picking these up. It's not everything but I can't show you everything just yet.

Little candy pearl purple to match the calipers. 😃 😉 🤔

Your sway bars came out really nice . Can't wait to see what the other surprise is going to be.

I'm going to try and get the other things put together tomorrow and then I'll reveal them. For now I took some time and polished the rear sway bar clamps. The front ones you'll never see so I'm not going to go to that extent with those. The rears look much better now but not completely perfect. People won't be getting down on their knees to see these I don't think. I'll get thembars on tomorrow morning so I can drive it again. Planning on heading to Fountain Hills Sunday for my last cruise in gathering for the summer. Getting to hot for my liking.

Mark if you didn’t clear coat the polished ones I would. I did mine when I put the new bars on and they are now tarnished again

Thanks for the heads up. Never thought to do that. I'm sure they don't take to long to get to looking like they use to again.

What's the heat down there now that it's already too hot? We are only touching on high 60s and maybe tapped 70 once already up in CT. The garage is getting hot though... And I have a lot of work yet to go!

It's suppose to be only 91 today, not really to bad in the shade but out in the sun it gets pretty warm. Last week it was mid to upper 90's. Almost the century mark. Not ready for that just yet, course I am never ready for that to happen. Gets pretty warm in the garage in the afternoon so I try to get things done early if possible.

Last year it must have been a combination of heat and humidity here. I've had three C5s total ranging from brand new to 38, to mint maintained 60 and my current daily has 108 on it up from 32. And both the Z and the daily last summer had the skins on the interior door panels separate inside the concave section near the arm rest.

But I hear you. I can tolerate extreme cold and be happy and functional. Extreme heat is a drag.

I grew up in Nebraska and left when I was about 27-28 for Phoenix. I've always said you can dress for cold but you can't undress for the heat, they'll arrest ya. Plus you'd burn "stuff" you don't want burned...😆 😉
I'm ready for a new climate and 4 seasons again though. Couple more years or so and I'm outta hear.

Okay, so as promised and without further adieu......

This is what I've been doing today. I got the sway bars installed and the car is now drivable again so I'll be heading to Fountain Hills in the morning. I love the new look and hope they last a long time. I had a little issue with the front one and chipped the coating on the passenger side link mount. I'll be looking for something to touch that up soon though. I didn't take any pictures of the front sway bar because it won't really be seen anyway, but it does look pretty cool being purple. I also put the stock metal end links back on. I have the greaseable Moog ones but I hate the grey metal color of them so I'll have to do something with those before they go back on again. These metal ones look pretty decent too though. The bushing clamp bolts/nuts will have to be addressed at some point too it looks like.

This is the part of this new mod thing I've been waiting to show anyone yet. I finally had everything together today and had time to get them assembled and looking like what they are supposed to be. I'm really excited to get these put on and adjusted and the height right. I'm really looking forward to the car handling better and being really fun to drive. It is now but I'm expecting more so now....

Viking Coilovers with Candy Pearl Purple powder coating on the springs like the sway bars and my brake calipers. I went with the 500lbs front and 600lbs for the rear and I have them adjusted for compression and rebound that will be between "handling" & "autocross" settings. Pretty much right in between what they recommend for those 2. I'll see how it rides that way and just go from there. Hopefully it's not to harsh to start off with. I'm really excited to get these on now but I have to drive the car tomorrow so they'll have to wait until next weekend.

Thanks also. I can't wait either but it will have to. Not sure what's next, but whatever it is it will most likely cost me I'm sure.

Now there's maybe a "next" item of interest. Is there such a thing as to much purple? 😆 😉👍

Now that's a cool piece. Maybe someday but I do have other irons in the fire yet to put out first. Thanks for the link.
