Thank you, for everything. Good news today. The lung quit leaking air into her chest finally this morning and healed the small hole they made for the biopsy. Got to bring her home about an hour ago and now she can take it easy in a familiar environment. We won't know anything about the biopsy until maybe Monday they said. Thanks so much for all the prayers and well wishes. I believe it really helped. Have a great weekend, y'all.
Sorry to hear about your wife. Just catching up now after having open heart surgery. It was a surprise for me for sure.
You and your wife are in my prayers. I hope you can get a date and get moving on a plan.

Dan: Sorry to hear about the surprise heart surgery and prayers for a fully successful recovery!
Mark: Great to hear your wife’s biopsy hole finally closed up; even greater news will be if the biopsy is negative.
Also, understand this will be a long weekend waiting for news. Sharon and I went through this several years ago….I do not know why each day waiting for the outcome was 387.2 hours long. Hopefully your days will seem much shorter!!
Again, prayerful that the outcome will be “benign” and if not, that a well formulated plan of action will be presented and that it will be 100% successful!
Hopefully, you both could attend today’s car show and have an enjoyable, car-oriented day.
Got to go to the show on Saturday. Wife stayed home and her sister stayed with her. The show wasn't as big as I had thought it would be but still was nice to get the car out for the first time this year. To be honest with you all, shows just aren't the same anymore. With the wife's health affecting my mood and personality, along with the friends I had to hang out with in different states now that I've moved, the passion for sitting at shows all day just isn't there this year. Plus I see a few paint issues from the body shop I had it at and it's really upsetting me I did that to it. I'm more upset at myself then anything else. It's amazing how life changes a person to being totally different then one use to be in a short amount of time. But it is what it is for now. No word yet on the biopsy so we wait until tomorrow or maybe Wednesday when the appointment is. No news good news? At this point I'm not going to speculate.
Forgot some pics.
Won a door prize NAPA cap.
Showtime....
Sisters came to visit. Nice to have family around.
Show's over, go home....

Still waiting on treatment details on what we're going to do with my wife's cancer. We did find out that it's classified as breast cancer that's attached to the lung, so it's not actual lung cancer. She had breast cancer way back in early 2000's and had a double mastectomy done then. So we aren't to sure why this has popped up. They said it's very rare to happen like this and when it does show up, it's always many years down the road. And sure enough it is many years later. So we wait again......
Took the Vette for a drive today to a shop that's about 40 minutes away. Suppose to be a great shop. I've talked with the owner quite a few times, he's also a C5 owner, and they do some high dollar, high end builds there. He's more then happy to get this issue fixed for me. Hope they can figure it out, 2 other shops I've had it at couldn't.
I'm praying for your wife. Cancer is never good, but breast cancer is better than lung cancer. I know things are tough right now. Waiting is particularly hard. At least now you know what you're dealing with. God will help you through.
Thanks again for all the well wishes and prayers. They definitely help. Haven't heard from the shop on any repairs yet for Grape. I told them to look it over really well and very thorough, leave no stones unturned. Had some excitement a couple days ago and had a tornado touch down a few miles west of us. Luckily it stayed for the most part in farmers fields. It did pass by a few towns and did take some buildings, some grain silos with it and some cattle got loose when the fences got damaged. I haven't heard of anyone getting killed by it so that's good. Material things can be replaced.
These photos aren't mine but were posted someplace and my sister sent them to me.
This one was take shortly after it had formed by where we live. It's a few miles west of us and heading north.
This one was taken about 30 miles north us. It's just a couple miles west and about a mile north of my home town I grew up in. It finally disappated when it traveled another 5 or so miles.
I also got some time to spend on the truck too. I ordered some bilstein 5100 shocks for it to replace the stock, cheap factory ones. I replaced the rears about a week ago and got the front struts done yesterday. The bilsteins have 4 levels of height adjustment on them so I put them on the 3rd notch up to raise it up a bit more. I didn't care much for how it looked like it was driving downhill all the time. I tell ya, these shocks are totally worth the money. I love how it handles and drives now much better. Even on washboard gravel roads it doesn't try and go sideways like it did with the stock ones. Little firmer ride but that's a good thing.
Got Grape back today and in the garage so I can put him back together tomorrow. I sure love driving that thing. Also very lucky the town he was in was on the west side of the tornado last Friday. The tornado went right between my home town and this town the shop was in. They had the car for 5 working days and guess what? Found only a minor thing that might be the suspect to a small leak in the compressor pressure switch. Soooooo, if the freon disappears over the summer AGAIN, then it's a new compressor that will be going in this fall. I loved doing that job the first time so why not do it again so very soon! It's only been 4 years now and I've spent 3 of those years chasing this leak again in between retiring and moving across the country twice. Fun stuff!
I don't have the braided hoses anymore either. Looks much better without them.
did you ever get those animated side markers put on? got any vids?
I was planning on installing those today actually. No video yet but hope to have one soon. I had to mow today and that takes a couple hours and then the wife had her doctor appointment this afternoon. Then we had to stop by her mom and dad's place to visit. Time just got away from me today. Hopefully tomorrow will be less hectic.

I have the Bilstein 5100 on my '18 Silverado as well. Love them!!
Thanks for that info, so far I'm very happy with mine too. Love how it drives and handles now. Thanks, we had an appointment today and they gave some good advice. Seems very treatable at this time.

Had an appointment today with the cancer doctor. He had some great info for us today. Wife had an MRI a couple days ago and the results were very positive. She had a pituitary gland tumor a few years ago removed and so far it's not coming back. Then he gave us the treatment plan for her cancer and they're going to try a pill form called verzenio along with letrozole. We have another appointment next Wednesday to go over all the pros and cons with them both and what they expect. We do need to wait for the insurance company to pre-approve the treatment and that could take 7-10 days for that. So basically we are on another waiting period. But at least there's a plan now that we can proceed with.
Spent a little time in the garage yesterday. Finally got my rear bumper cover art thingy up and lit. I didn't like the way the Christmas light string looked anymore so I spent some free time installing some factory bulbs along with a set of old, no longer usable halo lights. Well, they were still usable but after I cut the plug socket off the outside ones so they wouldn't stick out to far and I got rid of the sequencing part, they weren't so much. They now have a permanent home. I made them so the brake/blinker middle bulbs will light up too. I installed a flasher so they actually blink off and on like they should. I've been told by a couple people to disconnect that part as it would drive them nuts having them always flashing on and off. I did think about that so when I hooked that part up, I made it so there's a connection that can be easily separated. I also have it on a motion sensor so when it sees any movement it will turn it on. I don't have the video done yet so pics will have to do for now. I'm also going to take time today and clean up Grape and install those rear sidemarkers and front ones I've had for a long time.
What do you all think about the brake lights? Wouid that drive you all crazy having them flash on and off all the time when it's lit?
Looking good Mark. I wouldn't want them blinking on an off right next to the TV monitor that is close by. I think if the bumper cover was mounted in a direction where I wasn't looking all the time it wouldn't bother me but with it being so prominent I would make them steady myself.
I've got a bumper and wiring, but need to grab some OE brake light housings and the plate/reverse assembly off a wreck or part-out some time to finish it. Nothing fancy here... the one I've got is I think anniversary blue not electron and it was in a wreck, scratched up, so I'm just going to use it as cheap garage art.
Good day to you Mark. First off my prayers are with you and your wife for sure. Boy looking at that tornado pic brings back some fond and scary memories for sure. I was stationed at SAC (yes I know the name has been changed but for me 22 yrs in it will always be SAC) and I attended UNO, Creighton then UNL for the finish. While at SAC I lived off base in the not too far west area by John Markel Ford think westwoods area. Anyway, we were far enough west to see the fingers form up and from a 2 story house it was awesome and scary at the same time. I don't miss that and surely don't miss the snowy winters. I'll have my earthquakes all day long versus a tornado.
It looks good, but it does throw a lot of glare on the TV. If it were me, I'd keep the halos and the center brake light always on, and have the full brake lights off. I do think the motion sensor is a cool touch though. I really hope everything is going well with your wife. I will continue to pray for a quick and full recovery. Good luck with the side marker lights.
