Thanks for the tip. I am going to disconnect the flashing blinkers tomorrow. I was out there most of the day today. It doesn't bother me so much with the glare but I think it will look better with just the halos on. If it was dark in there then yeah, it would really bother me. Less is more with this project I believe. Majority vote says turn them off, so they'll get unplugged for now. I honestly wanted just to see if I could make it work, and I did so I'm not disappointed.

Good luck with yours. It's really a fun project. Mine was from a wrecked car too and had to be repaired in one area. Good time to paint it my car color. Worked out well.

While at SAC I lived off base in the not too far west area by John Markel Ford think westwoods area. Anyway, we were far enough west to see the fingers form up and from a 2 story house it was awesome and scary at the same time. I don't miss that and surely don't miss the snowy winters. I'll have my earthquakes all day long versus a tornado.
I have always loved SAC, that's all I've ever known it by too. Always will I guess. I've been in Arizona for so long I love the storms here. I go outside and watch them. My parents hate I do that but I haven't been around them much lately.

Good luck with the side marker lights.
Blinkers are being tuned off tomorrow. 😉👍 The side marker lights are in and look great. I love them. Spent some time today getting it ready for the weekend. There's a show on Sunday I may try to get to.

Laser marker lights working great.

Got Pat's (American Hydrocarbon) latest projects on the car. New fuel rail covers. I had him do these just before they closed up. Glad I didn't procrastinate on these. I have a couple other items for the interior that will be going in someday too. I have some real carbon fiber covers I'm going to try and get on tomorrow for the coolant and washer tanks also.

Big day tomorrow cleaning it.

Well, not so good news today. Wife will be on those cancer meds for the remainder of her life. These meds are designed to contain the cancer and stop or slow its growth and it will never go away. Surgery is a non-option also. Hopefully the side affects won't be to awful and we'll be able to travel some and get to visit with family and friends around the country sometime. We didn't ask how long she has because we really don't want to know. We will live each day as a positive that we have 1 more day together. And like I told her earlier, when we do pass, it's never goodbye, but see you later. Thank you all very much for all the well wishes and prayers. Really appreciate them very much. I'm still kinda numb from this news but we will work through it and enjoy what time we have left with each other. God Bless you all.

Mark:

That's tough news for anyone to hear, but you have the right perspective. In the overall scheme of eternity, this life is but a blip on the radar. You will see her again. But meantime, make every day count while you are together in this life. Prayers for you both.

Mark, I'm so very sorry to hear the news. It is a great idea to live everyday as your last. Our time on this Earth is a gift. With that said, you may really want to strongly consider looking around the country to see if there might be other options for treatment. I will continue to pray for the both of you.

Thanks everyone. Everyday is a blessing for sure. We have another option we're working on but again, time and waiting. I get chocked up whenever I read through these posts. Appreciate you all very much.

On a lighter note, I got to spend time in the garage again a couple days ago and got the car as clean as it's been in a long while. It's still up on the quick jacks so I need to remember to torque the wheels when I let it down again. I also got my Vette-Lights front markers installed finally. I've had them for a few years now and I kick myself for not getting the on sooner. They're soooooooo cool to watch and seeing in motion.

New front markers.

I also installed some black exhaust tips on the truck. I'm in the process of getting rid of all the chrome and going with a black and white theme. The chrome step sides will be changed out next week I hope as I have a black set on order.

The lights look great. I'm shocked that it took you so long to install them given the number of taillights you've gone through in that time. Have you considered a metalic purple powder coating for the side steps? That might be too much. Just something happy to think about.

I sent you another PM.

Mark, you are well thought of here and we all hurt together with you, and for you both. Cancer is an evil thing, I lost my father and mother, and one grandmother to it,

I’m so glad I got to meet and get to know your awesome wife, and I will continue to pray for her, and for you every day.

I like your mods buddy!

Mark I am sincerely sorry for the disappointing news about it not going away. I will continue my prayers for you guys. Continue to enjoy each other, go on doing all the things that you both enjoy in life and keep the faith. I like the laser side lights and the V-L markers, pretty slick. So many cool new mods to Grape and the Silverado.

Thank you all. You guys are my support therapy for now. I know I can come on here and you all will help however you can. Thanks again.

Spent a few minutes this afternoon putting up a new sign I got in Arizona from a friend that owns a shop. He thought I needed it for my garage. It is pretty cool and I put it on the motion sensor too.

Mark-
Been quite awhile-- we certainly miss you and the Grape Ape out here.

Just did some catch up reading and learned about your wife's issues-- we were at Piper Center at Scottsdale Shea Thursday for one of those female procedures that showed up on a scan and Doc said it looked good pending biopsy results next week....I'm not 100% sure what it is since I stop listening when I hear the word "cervix" - -

Prayers and best wishes for you and your bride. Miss you Brotha!

Hey Brother...I think I am not supposed to be either political or religious on this forum. But you know what my brother? I pray for and yours every day brother...really. I normally pray a rosary every day because my mom always prayed the rosary every fn day. I got stupid one day and asked my mom why she does that. Her answer ? Slapped the s out of me. So prayers brother...

Thank you, CQRT. I actually miss being in Arizona too. Not so much the hot summers, but I do miss being around some good people there. We are sending prayers to you and his wide as well. Take care.

As a Pastor I support the message that love is our greatest strength and we are all, in this together.
I have put in a good word for you and your wife with my boss that is very important to spirit

As a person who has also flatlined I would encourage everyone to be a strong advocate for their own personal health. Always search for your own best interests especially when you’re challenged.

Carpe diem Mark

Got more work done on the truck today. New all black running boards came in today so I went to work installing those. I really like the look of these over the chrome ones. I think they give the truck a thinner profile as the black kinda fads into the surroundings and don't show up very well.

The before shot with the chrome ones on.

The after shot with the black ones on. Much better now.
